The Northern Federation provides a stronger voice for Ethnic Senior Citizens Clubs in the Northern Region by providing support to people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities living in the north east .

The SMRC provides support in a number of ways including training, community education, assistance in preparing funding applications and meeting administrative requirements of elder ethnic groups.
